Volker H. Ameskamp

In 1993 Volker H. Ameskamp founded his own law office. Prior to that he has been working as an associate with a German and with an American law firm.


In 1999 he merged his law office with the law office of Stephan Brock to found Ameskamp & Brock.


The focus of his advisory services is on corporate law, including commercial and bankruptcy law, mostly for domestic and international companies. In addition, for many years Volker Ameskamp has been giving legal advise to banks and financial services companies in all areas of banking law.


In particular, with respect to litigation Volker Ameskamp has been advising, even on an international scale, on a number of prominent cases.

Stephan Brock

Mr. Brock and Mr. Ameskamp, attorneys at law, started the offices of Ameskamp & Brock in 1999.

Mr. Brock, after initially qualifying as bank clerk with completion of further training in investment banking at the Dresdner Bank in Bielefeld, passed his first and second state examination as lawyer in Munich.

After that, Mr. Brock worked at the offices of Roethig & Partner, dealing manly with matters regarding estate administrations, administration for absent heirs or administrations for unknown heirs, which included not only the investigation for unknown heirs but also all taxation matters regarding these administrations.

These days, Mr. Brock, attorney at law, advises almost exclusively in all matters regarding the law of succession and their associated legal fields.

Mr. Brock´s special interest lies in resolving inheritance matters out of court by reaching mutual agreements with all parties involved, with a view to reach a fair solution to the interest of al involved.

Dr. Jörg Nowak, LL.M., MBA


Dr. Nowak has over 12 years experience in the area of corporate law, specialising on corporate finance. After finishing his legal studies with a J.D (Dr. iur.) and a LL.M. (Hull) he initially worked as a lawyer on cross-border M&A transactions with Hengeler Mueller Weitzel Wirtz in Frankfurt.

Later he was for several years the in-house legal counsel to MAN Technologie AG in Munich. In

1998, he completed his MBA degree in a joint business management program run by the Krannert Business School (Purdue - USA) and the Ecole Supérieur de Commerce (Rouen - France).

Before joining Ameskamp Brock in 2002 as a partner,  he was for many years the managing director and German partner of an international corporate finance firm. His professional experience also includes private equity and venture capital management in the TIMES, logistics and renewable energies industries.
